Happy New Year everyone!
Long time no blogging for me. Not sure if anyone reads these but I’ll give it another go.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I didn’t do too much during the holiday season, mostly relaxing. One thing I did enjoy doing was having Osechi Ryori (おせち料理) on New Year’s Day.
When I first came to Japan, I wasn’t a big fan of Osechi. I would dread New Year’s Day every year because I knew we were going to eat osechi morning, noon and night on that day and probably the next day, too. But as the years passed I began to slowly get used to eating osechi. Now I quite enjoy the tradition of having osechi during the New Year’s holiday.
The moral of this story is: Even if you don’t like something or don’t want to do something, don’t give up so easily. Keep fighting and just might enjoy it. Bye!
